When the feature is rolled out to you, it can be enabled using voice or the Alexa app: Whisper is an account setting, so it needs to be turned on in the Alexa App under Settings → Alexa Account → Alexa Voice Responses → Whispered Responses. In conjunction with that announcement, popular “alternative Apple developer conference” AltConf today detailed its own 2019 conference and outlined what attendees can expect from it. A new exploit discovered by F-Secure is said to put “almost all” Mac and Windows laptops and desktops at risk for data theft. The vulnerability even leaves Macs with FileVault turned on susceptible.
