It’s a couple of weeks since LG announced its upcoming 34-inch ultrawide Thunderbolt 3 monitor, and now Samsung has done the same. While LG has the higher resolution – effectively between 4K and 5K – Samsung is hoping that its curved design will win fans … The Samsung CJ791 QLED Monitor offers a resolution of 3440×1440 pixels, in contrast with LG’s 5120×2880. After delaying the release of its new cord-free wireless headphones called AirPods, Apple has today reportedly confirmed the product is expected to ship over the next few weeks. The confirmation comes via an alleged email from CEO Tim Cook to a customer (via Macrumors), but Apple has yet to make an official announcement or comment. In the email Tim Cook reportedly answered a customer’s question regarding the delayed product, saying that the company is “finalizing them” and anticipating to “begin to ship over the next few weeks....

Apple just unveiled the Apple Watch Series 4 with support for ECG readings, and now accessory maker AliveCor has announced its own electrocardiogram reader. The company, which has made several iPhone health accessories in the past, says its ECG reader will have 6 leads, compared to the 1 lead Apple Watch. In typical care clinics, as TechCrunch notes, patients have 12 leads placed across their chest to pick up heart data....

Update: These are likely an iPhone 5 clone (with better vibrating motor). Note the smaller 1150 mAh battery and the (d’oh) SD card slot. The images above allegedly show a Foxconn assembly line in addition to some up close spy shots of what could be Apple’s next generation iPhone 5S. The images were originally posted by Chinese CNET/CBSi-owned tech site sjbbs.zol.com and later reposted by GizChina. We see a front panel largely resembling the currently shipping iPhone 5 in the images and some rather nice shots of the devices’ components, providing clues that this is indeed the next-gen iPhone and not the iPhone 5....

New photos of the iPhone 6 surfaced tonight from Sonny Dickson that appear to show the backplate of the upcoming iPhone 6. Dickson says that these photos were obtained from a source with access to the part, and they do appear to be legitimate. The first photo, seen above, shows a close-up view of the cutouts for the camera (which appears to be raised), circular True Tone flash, rear microphone, and Apple logo....

American Gods season 2’s ratings have fell sharply, like Icarus plummeting earthwards. The season 2 premiere’s ratings (0.52 million) were a third smaller than the season 1 finale (0.774 million), and one-third of that shrunk audience didn’t return for the second episode of season 2, with the viewership declining steadily ever since (the latest episode only scored 0.336 million viewers).
